Finding her passion for fantasy at fifteen, Alexia D’Silva began writing her first novel, Weapons of an Empress. She adored the idea of magic and the various creatures she saw, both in the books she read and the shows she watched. Subsequently, the author wanted to incorporate those same feelings of power of freedom and power into her book. A year into her writing, she endured both academic and emotional hardships, causing the confidence she held in herself to plummet. However, she continued writing, allowing the thought of one day publishing the book to keep her going.
Now, what formerly was a story of adventure and thrills became a tool Alexia D’Silva hopes will teach her readers the importance of believing in oneself, regardless of the circumstances. One of her biggest aspirations is to continue creating stories that the world can relate to and change their way of thinking, so they may see the positives of life and the importance of helping each other in times of need.
